Internet phonesSo what exactly is and internet phone? Actually there are two different types of “internet phones” on the market, software phones and actual physical phones. The first kind of internet phones are basically just software programs that allow you to use your pc as a phone. When you make a call using this software you use your pc ‘s microphone to talk so there is no actual phone involved. Using software of this kind you can either call a regular phone or another pc. The second kind of internet phone services actually allow you to connect a regular phone to the internet. These so called VOIP (Voice over IP) services use your broadband internet connection and are great if you want to save a lot of money on calls.
